DESIGN & FINSHES -A watch with a strong character, complemented by a creative mix of materials for a unique avant-garde look. -Ultimate elegance: in a true High Jewellery spirit, each index is set with precious baguette-cut emerald, an infinite eye for detail -A fossilized wood dial recalling Piaget’s iconic heritage watches, with a warm tone recalling the the hues of emeralds. -The combination of materials and colors evokes the rich variety of nature, with vibrant bursts of color that enliven the earthy tones of the forest, creating a harmonious and captivating aesthetic. -Dual expertise: a watch displaying Piaget’s double expertise in High Jewellery gem-setting and Watchmaking. GEMMOLOGY -The baguette-cut emeralds were extremely difficult to cut: all need to perfectly fit the peculiar curves of the watch. They were incredibly challenging to source for our gemmologists, as they have to be of the same exact colour and size. It took over 1 year to find all the emeralds! -Fossilized wood is petrified: this means that its organic matter has been replaced by minerals. Concretely, wood’s anatomy is retained, hence the veins remain visible on the dial. It took months to get to a homogenous and aesthetic result, especially to find the perfect brown tone to recall the warmth of the emeralds.
