The Palace Gucci collection is a creative experiment, conceived from an idea to create something new and unexpected exclusively for Vault. This capsule marks the first time Gucci has handed over the House archives to another brand to be the basis of their design vision. Palace, the London-based brand with a knack for synthesizing cultural codes, deconstructed then reconstructed Gucci’s elements into new, playful interpretations. The unconventional pieces are a mixture of both brands’ patterns and logos expressed in a number of different ways—including the GG-P pattern used in a mix of colors and materials across categories.
Pulled from the archives, this Palace Gucci mini skirt was inspired by a ‘90s Gucci design, the GG-P pattern extends across the whole piece and is finished with laces that sit along the hips embellished with the crystal Gucci Palace logo.
