SpidoLite Monochrome
The SpidoLite x TBlack is part of the Monochrome series in collaboration with TBlack, bespoke watch specialists. Inspired by the pursuit of adventure, the Monochrome series is a dramatic yet familiar reimagining of the Spido Series, in a limited run of only ten pieces each.
From disassembly to reassembly, approximately 125 hours of work has been carried out to transform Linde Werdelin’s Spido pieces into the Linde Werdelin x TBlack Monochrome series. This new collection is much more refinement than revolution, stripping back the DLC from both pieces has revealed a raw aesthetic, a monochrome reminder of earlier Linde Werdelin series that manages to still be delightfully fresh and new.
The SpidoLite series was first conceived to pursue adventure, following a Mount Everest expedition after which mountaineers requested something just as durable, but lighter. Thus was born the notion of a SpidoLite. The SpidoLite series has pursued weight reduction holistically, not simply by remaking the case in lighter materials but in reworking the case design to balance strength with lightness. Each SpidoLite seeks to find that balance, stripping away materials where a more efficient design can be found.
