The Role:

You will be joining our team as our Social Media & Content Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of our company’s social media strategy and develop it as we scale rapidly, working with and reporting to the Founder. This is a fully remote position. You will manage our company image and brand values in a cohesive way to achieve our business goals.


Copy writing, Design & Implementation

Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals.

Create weekly, monthly and campaign content across all platforms for Lux Afrique Group.

Develop digital publications for assigned web sites according to specifications.

Manage social media channels and the editorial calendar to ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging.

Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews.

Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, brands, and design teams to ensure brand consistency.

Proofreading, restructuring, and editing articles from our content writers.

Take ownership with attention to detail on all content presented to our Founder.

Generate new ideas around industry-related topics and create diverse content that will appeal to a wider audience.

Interview industry professionals and use online sources to research topics.

Prepare content and design of monthly newsletter.

Treat feedback as an opportunity and make a continued effort to improve.


Tracking & Analytics

Track website and social media analytics and provide solutions for improvement.

Compile weekly stats and monthly digital reports.

Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.

Monitor and represent the company at various publishing-related events and conventions.

Optimize published pieces using SEO guidelines.


Proven work experience with consumer brands as a social media manager across multiple social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video)

Excellent copy writing skills with attention to detail.

Strong communication skills: clear, warm, and credible.

A self-starter able to work effectively and hit company targets.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Fast learner and organised.

Strong team player that is positive and open to change.

Familiar and actively working with Adobe Creative Suite and web design.

Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics

Based in South Africa.

Experience in the luxury or fashion industry an advantage.
