Cheval Natte pillow
The story behind
The idea for Cheval Natte came to Tong Ren when he was designing the Mon Premier Galop scarf. The two designs share the same visual aesthetic: the texture of the braiding and color blocks. Cheval Natte was inspired by the wooden blocks the artist used to build castles when he was a child. Here, Tong Ren adopts the same fun vibe to build an "H"-shaped horse. Cheval Natte is standing on the stage, the curtain open and the lights on. He is ready to open the show.
